May Term - Seville, Spain
The Seville May Term with Spanish Studies Abroad is an excellent opportunity
to boost your Spanish skills and experience the culture and beauty of this charming
and historic Spanish city. This term is ideal for students who want to get a head start
on their language skills in order to further improve in the summer term, or for those who
are looking for a short term program focusing on a language and cultural immersion.
The May Intensive Term in Seville offers students of all levels the opportunity to study
Spanish at the level that is right for you:
Prerequisite: Two years of high school Spanish or one year of elementary college Spanish or the equivalent.
SPAN 309M/310M Advanced Spanish I, II
Prerequisite: SPAN 309-One year of intermediate college Spanish or the equivalent
SPAN 310-Minimum of one course in advanced college Spanish or the equivalent
SPAN 312M Foundations of Spanish Culture
Prerequisites: One year of intermediate college Spanish or the equivalent.

Program Goals:
The goal of the May Term is to help you improve your Spanish while living as a member of sevillano culture and gaining a profound understanding of your surroundings. Courses designed for your academic needs and access to cultural resources, workshops, and activities allow you to more fully integrate into life in Seville. Classes are taught at our Center, a historic mansion in downtown Seville.
Program Inclusions:
Program fees include tuition, room & board, support of the onsite Spanish Studies Abroad staff, pre-departure support, laundry, day and local study visits, cultural activities, orientation, health insurance, and a Spanish Studies Abroad transcript. Optional trips and activities are also available through the Center.
Prerequisite:
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
